Electronic shareholder communication

At the Company’s Annual General Meeting in November 2007, the Company gained shareholder approval to adopt changes in the law governing electronic communication. This allows the Company to use their website as the main way to communicate with shareholders, sending out Annual Reports only to those who tell us they want to continue to receive a paper copy.

The Board regards this as a positive step for both the Company and shareholders. It will reduce our impact on the environment, minimise waste and reduce costs. It will enable stakeholders to keep updated with developments at Sky as they happen by accessing our website.

Sign up now to receive your future shareholder communications electronically and help Sky to help the environment. You can register at www.shareview.co.uk. It will only take a couple of moments as long as you have your shareholder account number to hand (this is a 7 or 8 digit number printed on dividend vouchers, proxy cards and any other shareholder correspondence sent to you. If you cannot locate this number please contact Equiniti.

Shareholder fraud: Protect your shareholding

To reduce the risk of becoming a victim of fraud you can follow the following tips:

• Ensure all your certificates are stored in a safe place, or hold your shares electronically in CREST (electronic settlement system for UK and Irish securities) via a nominee.
• Keep all correspondence containing your shareholder reference number in a safe place.
• Shred all unwanted correspondence.
• If you change your address, inform Equiniti as soon as possible. If you receive a letter from Equiniti regarding a change of address and have not recently moved house, please contact them immediately. You may be a victim of identity theft.
• Know when dividends will be paid. You can request dividends be paid directly be paid directly into your bank, reducing the risk of cheques being intercepted or lost in the post. If you change your bank account, inform Equiniti of the details of your new account.
