Corporate Affairs

LeopardsThe Corporate Affairs team sit at the very heart of Sky, working with the whole organisation to keep everybody informed and excited about what’s going on. The department is made up of four teams. Corporate Communications manage our relations with the media and other communications activity including speeches, events and publications, The Public Affairs team manage our relationship with government and political audiences while Internal Communications work to make sure that all Sky people are kept informed and up to date, particularly on issues that impact them. The Bigger Picture team work hard to manage Sky’s Bigger Picture programme which is all about the wider contribution that Sky makes to our community through our commitment to sport, the arts and to the environment.

The Corporate Affairs team is made up of talented people who hold a variety of different roles. There are project managers and policy experts as well as communications professionals and administrators, all of whom make a real contribution to building our brand and reputation and ensuring our continued success.

All Sky employees can take two days' paid volunteering a year.

Facilities & Property Management

Property and Facilities The Property and Facilities Management team manage a large portfolio of diverse environments and premises for Sky. The key to their success is the strong relationships they forge with people; from internal departments and external advisors, through to landlords and tenants. The team ensures they provide for the safe and proper management of all Sky’s premises.

The team has established a reputation for professionalism and excellence within the market and, with Sky entering a period of significant organisational change; they’ll play a major role in delivering a number of new capital projects and workplace initiatives. Our team of talented individuals makes this happen; from Switchboard Operators to Work Place Solution Managers, from Receptionists to Estate Managers, they support the individual divisions as they develop their business strategies.

Our Property and Facilities Management team manage a mixed portfolio of over 90 freehold and leased properties. It’s big challenge – totalling more than 1.3million sq ft.

Finance

Finance business areaThe Sky finance team operates right at the heart of our FTSE 30 media and technology business. That means you can be certain there’ll be plenty of opportunities to make a significant and lasting contribution to our remarkable success.

In a fast-moving environment of constant change and innovation, the talented Finance team provide the business with advice and support that helps to make even the most ambitious of projects and ideas a reality.

Ours is a massive business, so there’ll be no limits to what can be achieved, and there are more than 600 finance professionals to help us do it. Based across all sites, from our head office in London, to our shared service centre in Livingston, Scotland, Finance operate over five key functions covering audit and risk, operations, commercial, compliance and strategy.

The variety of roles are diverse, including accounts assistants, qualified analysts, financial controllers and heads of finance.

leopardsLegal and Business Affairs plays a key role in the day-to-day life of Sky. Split in to several niche teams, our legal advisors boast a wide range of expertise, from sports rights and clearance to litigation, gained in the consumer and marketing arena and the world of content and copyright.

With over seventy top calibre lawyers, we’re more like a strong law firm with an in-house perspective, providing proactive and effective support to the wider business, and ensuring the regulatory framework is in check.

Procurement

Procurement business areaProcurement continually looks to move forward and innovate. For example we were the first company in Europe to implement the Ariba eProcurement Buyer & Invoice system. We won the CIPS award for Most Improved Purchasing Operation not long ago, too.

Split between sites in Osterley and Brick Lane in London, we negotiate contracts with vendors to provide the highest quality goods and services at the lowest possible costs.

Ensuring these contracts are in place means our budget holders and their teams can work more efficiently with suppliers, which ultimately leads to better business relationships.

We also deliver first-rate technology, services and data to market leaders in the finance, retail, media, utilities and telecommunications industries.

We are a team of driven, intelligent and entrepreneurial people, who constantly ‘Believe in Better’. We look for expert talent in the fields of Data and Insight, Technology, Product Development, Corporate Services and Sales and Marketing. Typical roles include Planning Managers, Data Analysts, Report Developers, Data Strategy and Campaign Execution, Insight Consultants.
